Position Overview: KPMG is seeking a skilled Federal Audit Supervisor to enhance our Federal Audit practice.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and oversee the execution of external audit assignments for Federal government clients, ensuring compliance with applicable regulatory and professional auditing standards.
  • Maintain an up-to-date understanding of accounting literature trends and technical issues pertinent to the industry.
  • Manage engagement logistics, including budget oversight, resource allocation, billing, collections, and adherence to project timelines.
  • Foster a positive team culture and mentor team members in their professional growth.
  • Develop and maintain strong client relationships, enhancing the client experience throughout engagements.
  • Utilize KPMG’s Audit Methodology effectively.

Qualifications:

  • A minimum of five years of relevant financial statement audit experience within a public accounting firm, demonstrating supervisory capabilities.
  • A Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution and a licensed CPA in the respective home office state.
  • Experience with financial and systems controls, accounting, and functional support services for federal entities, including a solid understanding of U.S. Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP), U.S. Generally Accepted Auditing Standards (GAAS), and Federal Accounting Standards Advisory Board (FASAB) Standards.
  • Willingness to travel as required.
  • TS/SCI clearance is mandatory.
