Job SummaryWe are seeking a compassionate and patient Caregiver - Direct Support Professional to join our team at Sevita. As a Caregiver, you will play a vital role in supporting individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities in their daily lives.
Key Responsibilities- Support Daily Living Activities: Assist individuals with personal hygiene, meal preparation, and other daily living activities.
- Encourage Independence: Support individuals in developing skills and achieving their goals, such as budgeting, exercise, and nutrition.
- Provide Emotional Support: Offer emotional support and companionship to individuals, helping them build meaningful relationships and a sense of community.
- Collaborate with Team Members: Work closely with other team members, including supervisors, to ensure seamless support and care for individuals.
- Education: High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Experience: Six months of experience in human services, direct care, or care coordination preferred.
- Skills: Communication, adaptability, multi-tasking, teamwork, time-management.
- Behaviors: Patient, compassionate, reliable, responsible.
- Vehicle: Valid Driver's license and access to a registered vehicle with proof of insurance.
- Competitive Pay: Hourly pay rate of $15, Pay on Demand, Full benefits package for employees working 30+ hours/week, including a 401(k) with a 3% company match.
