Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Junior Accountant to join our team at SG Services, Inc.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support the accounting team with day-to-day accounting operations, including general ledger management, posting journal entries, reconciling accounts, and supporting the accounts payable function.
  • Review and reconcile all domestic and international vendor shipping bills, ensuring accurate and timely coding in the general ledger.
  • Assist with the onboarding of new vendors into the general ledger and review aging reports regularly to ensure accuracy.
  • Reconcile all bank accounts monthly to maintain accurate financial reporting.
  • Support the corporate credit card program, including monthly recording and reconciling of U.S. and international credit card transactions.
  • Ensure the accuracy of intercompany accounts and resolve discrepancies promptly.
  • Accurately record all cash transactions in the general ledger.
  • Assist in the monthly preparation of U.S. Sales tax and international VAT returns, and support the annual preparation and filing of 1099 forms.
  • Assist the accounting team in preparing journal entries and support the preparation of balance sheet reconciliations, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
Requirements
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel is required (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, XLOOKUP).
  • Be adept with large, complex data sets.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain a high accuracy rate.
  • Intellectual curiosity with a hunger to learn.
  • Exceptionally organized.
  • Proven interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills.
  • Proven ability to succeed in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
