About the Role

UIC Technical Services is seeking a highly experienced and skilled Heavy Highway Construction Project Manager to join our team. As a proud Alaska Native Corporation, we offer a unique opportunity to work on a wide range of projects, from heavy civil construction to infrastructure development.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage heavy highway construction projects from start to finish, ensuring timely completion and adherence to specifications.
  • Lead a team of laborers and operators to complete projects in accordance with plans and specifications.
  • Interpret specifications in blueprints, sketches, or plans to prepare project layout and determine necessary resources required.
  • Plan resources and lead teams to complete projects in accordance with plans and specifications.
  • Ensure compliance with OSHA rules and regulations.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of experience in heavy highway construction, with a minimum of 5 years in a lead or general foreman role.
  • Comprehensive working knowledge of heavy highway construction, including surveying, cut/fill, excavation, borrow, aggregates, culvert installation, signs, striping, etc.
  • Ability to operate basic construction equipment, such as forklifts and loaders.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills.
  • First Aid Certification and OSHA-10 Certification.
