Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Dishwasher to join our kitchen team at El Monte Sagrado Resort & Spa. As a Dishwasher, you will play a vital role in maintaining the cleanliness and organization of our kitchen, ensuring that our guests receive exceptional dining experiences.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work under the direction of our Executive Chef or Sous Chef to maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment.
  • Communicate effectively with kitchen leadership to ensure timely completion of tasks and maintain a positive work atmosphere.
  • Set up workstations before meal preparation begins and ensure that all necessary equipment is in good working order.
  • Load, run, and unload dishwashing machines, checking for any technical issues and reporting them promptly.
  • Maintain cleaning supplies stock and place orders when necessary to ensure a smooth operation.
  • Ensure that there are always enough clean dishes, glasses, and utensils, especially during peak hours.
  • Wash specific items by hand, such as wooden cutting boards, large pots, and delicate china.
  • Store clean dishes, glasses, and equipment appropriately and remove garbage regularly.
  • Sanitize the kitchen area, including the floor, to maintain a clean and safe environment.

Requirements:

  • Current New Mexico Food Handler Certification is required.
  • Ability to work on your feet in a humid kitchen environment for extended periods.
  • Must be able to lift, push, reach for, and carry 30+ pounds frequently.
  • Excellent verbal communication and ability to multitask.
  • 6 months to 1 year of experience in a high-volume kitchen environment, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
