What You'll Do

Purpose Statement: This position serves as an entry-level opportunity where individuals will receive training to manage the procurement process for designated goods, commodities, and/or services, ensuring compliance with quality, delivery, and pricing standards as outlined in Purchasing SOPs and WIs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee material procurement in accordance with Plexus management guidelines and customer contract stipulations, emphasizing adherence to Approved Vendor Lists, unit pricing, quality, and timely delivery
  • Make tactical purchasing decisions regarding order placements, rescheduling, cancellations, and prompt resolution of non-conforming materials, goods discrepancies, and invoice inquiries
  • Optimize inventory levels while fulfilling production requirements, implementing corrective actions to avert schedule disruptions
  • Manage procurement automation processes, ensuring efficient and accurate purchasing by maintaining data integrity and troubleshooting issues within automation systems

Education/Experience Requirements:

  • 0-2 years of relevant experience typically required
  • Relevant qualifications would be advantageous

Additional Requirements:

  • Strong analytical skills
  • Attention to detail
  • Effective written and verbal communication, interpersonal skills, and problem-solving abilities
  • Proficiency in Google Workspace or MS Office, particularly Excel
  • Familiarity with general office tools and materials

Physical Demands:

  • Comfortable professional office environment with appropriate lighting, temperature, and minimal noise levels
  • May involve extended periods of sitting and computer use, with minimal physical activity emphasizing ergonomic workspace practices

Travel Expectations:

  • Less than 40%
