The Position

We're seeking a Process Engineer II to design and implement manufacturing processes, instrumentation, and equipment start-ups from laboratory to manufacturing scale. This individual will provide expertise in cell culture, purification, freeze drying, formulation, powder processing, engineering, design, and scale-up.

This role supports actions coming out of deviation investigations and CAPAs within our GMP manufacturing operations at our commercial pharmaceutical bioproduction plant.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Lead process and equipment troubleshooting to support deviations, corrective actions, and related issues.
  2. Coordinate fabrication, procurement, installation, engineering start-up, and validation activities of new equipment and systems.
  3. Participate in the development and implementation of procedural or automation improvement changes.
  4. Participate in design and hazard reviews of plant expansions or process changes.
  5. Point person for process improvement activities, including performing or authoring equipment specifications and user requirements.
  6. Initiate and manage projects, tracking spending of budgets and controlling payment schedules.
  7. Regular supervision of contractor or intern reports, including mentoring and performance reviews.
Qualifications

Requires a Bachelor's, Master's, or PhD degree in engineering or a related discipline. A minimum of five years of related experience is required, with a preference for medium to large-scale pharmaceutical or biotechnology process experience.

Knowledge of automation, GMPs, compliance, and regulatory requirements is essential. Excellent communication skills and the ability to work in a high-paced team-oriented environment are also required.

Working Environment

The working environment includes a variety of physical conditions, including noise, inside and outside conditions, and temperature changes. Atmospheric conditions include odors, fumes, and dust.

Local and international travel is limited to 0-10%.
