Job Summary

United Musculoskeletal Partners is seeking a skilled Diagnostic Imaging Specialist to join our team. As an X-Ray Technologist, you will be responsible for performing high-quality diagnostic orthopedic X-Rays for our ordering providers, ensuring patient safety and privacy while delivering exceptional customer service.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide quality diagnostic X-Rays, including correct image, right or left markers, patient ID, and provider name.
  • Maintain proper use of X-ray equipment, CR, DR, and PACS.
  • Communicate effectively with the X-ray supervisor or director regarding concerns or operational questions/problems.
  • Establish professional relationships with physicians, co-workers, and clinical staff.
  • Teach X-ray students how to perform X-rays, patient care, and workflow in the clinical X-ray setting.
  • Assist clinical staff with PACS, including importing and exporting images.
  • Perform daily QC of all X-rays taken.
  • Maintain ordering of X-ray supplies when necessary.
Requirements
  • Licensed Radiologic Technologist or registry eligible.
  • Strong customer service ethic.
  • Current certification in CPR encouraged.
  • Knowledge of basic computer skills.
  • Familiarity with orthopedic X-rays in a clinical setting.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with a variety of people.
  • Ability to communicate and document clearly and concisely.
Work Environment

While performing the duties of this job, the employee may be exposed to risk of infectious diseases when interacting with patients and/or family members. The employee may be occasionally exposed to wet and/or humid conditions, moving mechanical parts, fumes or airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals, and vibration. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
