About the Role

The Human Resources Coordinator at Great Wolf Lodge is a key member of the HR team, responsible for supporting the HR function to drive success and support the execution of business goals. This role requires a strong partnership with HR leadership to ensure timely communication with employees, leadership, and across departments.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide exceptional customer service to employees, responding to daily questions and requests in a timely manner.
  • Ensure timely communication with employees, leadership, and across departments to support the operation and positive service-focused culture.
  • Lead front-line recruiting and onboarding efforts for the Lodge, working closely with HRM and HRD.
  • Partner with HRD and HRM to handle FAQs related to benefits, pack perks, and other HR topics.
  • Listen to employee questions or concerns and escalate to HRM or HRD as necessary.
  • Conduct training to effectively onboard new employees and new leaders, including Wolfology and Create the Moment for new hires.
  • Support training and development programs for frontline employees and coordinate completion of online training on Great Wolf University.
  • Own day-to-day reporting, administrative duties, and processing information for the HR department.
  • Participate in organizing pack celebrations and promote pack recognition.
  • Communicate information and ideas clearly, confidently, and articulately in both oral and written form.
  • Provide feedback that supports employee growth, development, and engagement.
  • Demonstrate a working knowledge of federal and state employment law.
  • Able to assess and prioritize staffing needs and execute on the strategy outlined to improve staffing levels.
  • Effectively manage open job requisitions based on business needs.
  • Provide administrative support for HR and operations, including payroll, time and attendance, data input, and reporting.
  • Support the HR Department in maintaining human resource records, past and current, including but not limited to: personnel files, I-9, EEOC, worker's compensation, drug screening, incident files, and health files.
  • Main point of contact to fulfill and track employee Lodge requests.
  • Maintain confidentiality and protect operations by keeping human resource information confidential.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 1 year previous HR or similar experience.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office suite.
  • Successful completion of criminal background check and drug screen.
  • Enthusiastic and positive energy.
  • Multi-tasking ability.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Human Resources, Business, or related field.
  • Human Resources certification or other specialized training.
  • Previous experience in hotel/resort/theme park industry.
  • Experience utilizing HR technology.
  • Strong problem-solving and organizational skills.
  • Attention to detail.

Physical Requirements

  • Able to lift up to 20 lbs.
  • Able to bend, stretch, and twist.
  • Able to stand or sit for long periods of time.
