Position Overview:
Under the guidance of the Director of Operations, the Accounting Manager will be responsible for overseeing the financial operations of GRS. This role is vital for ensuring precise financial reporting and maintaining strong internal controls, which are essential for the company's financial integrity and compliance with regulations. The Accounting Manager will also play a key role in adhering to deadlines for month-end closing, invoicing, and other critical accounting timelines.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Month-End Closing:
    • Revenue Recognition
    • Cost Analysis
    • General Ledger / Accounts Receivable / Accounts Payable Management (using QuickBooks Online)
    • Bank and Account Reconciliations
    • Preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with GAAP
  • Accounting Operations:
    • Invoicing (currently utilizing BigTime, subject to future changes)
    • Management of client collections and vendor payments
    • Cash and credit card oversight
    • Monthly financial reviews, including tracking and reporting on Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
    • Assistance with budgeting and related financial activities
    • Collaboration with company directors to review monthly financial performance
    • Maintenance and updates of policies and procedures in line with GAAP
  • Administrative Duties:
    • Management of foreign qualifications with registered agents
    • Submission of business and tax filings
    • Oversight of corporate insurance renewals and generation of Certificates of Insurance for clients
    • Collaboration with tax preparers on income tax returns and estimates
    • Coordination with consulting firms for 409A valuations
    • Processing payroll
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Proven experience in managing accounts receivable effectively.
  • Strong understanding of GAAP with experience in financial reporting, budgeting, and internal controls.
  • Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks Online) and Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.
  • Prior experience with time tracking and expense management software; invoicing and posting to accounting systems.
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, capable of engaging with all organizational levels.
  • Ability to address accounting and accounts receivable inquiries from GRS clients.
  • High attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.
  • Focus on process improvement.
  • Capacity to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a dynamic environment.
Education and Experience:
  • Bachelor's degree (or equivalent) in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA or CMA certification is preferred.
  • A minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in accounting.
