Position Summary
The Financial Operations Manager will oversee the daily financial activities and performance of various non-profit organizations.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the daily financial operations and ensure optimal performance of non-profit entities.
- Establish and maintain robust policies and procedures to ensure strong internal controls.
- Review and assist with investment accounting and prepare quarterly financial reports.
- Manage the completion of monthly allocation calculations.
- Ensure the timely and accurate review and completion of monthly close packages.
- Assist in the development and maintenance of the annual budget, including budget versus actual reporting.
- Prepare tax documentation and quarterly estimates.
- Collaborate with independent auditors to provide necessary supporting documentation.
- Review grant reports and analyze financial data.
- Mentor and supervise a team of staff accountants.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 4 years of experience in accounting and tax.
- Experience in both public and private accounting is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of GAAP accounting principles.
- Experience in non-profit organizations or family offices is advantageous.
- Supervisory experience is highly preferred.
- CPA certification is strongly preferred.
- Proficiency in Sage Intacct is a plus.
