Machining Specialist for CNC Lathes

Position Overview:
The individual in this role will oversee the programming, setup, and operation of CNC Turning Machines. It is essential to adhere to the responsibilities outlined below.
All Technimark employees are expected to comprehend and implement Technimark's Quality Policy to guarantee that the company's Quality Objectives are achieved.
Every employee must fulfill the training prerequisites detailed in the Training Matrix and apply their knowledge, skills, and abilities while executing all tasks in a manner that meets and surpasses quality expectations and requirements.
Employees should demonstrate respect for colleagues, engage in consensus-based decision-making, prioritize team benefits, share workloads, take ownership of action items, follow effective communication practices, and be accountable for their personal actions.
Qualifications | Experience | Skills:
A high school diploma or GED is required. Trade school education and/or a minimum of 6 years of experience in mold making and machining is necessary.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills are essential. Basic computer proficiency is required.
Preferred Qualifications and Skills:
- Proficiency in programming with Surf-Cam or similar CAD/CAM software.
- Familiarity with Fanuc and Heidenhain controls.
- Experience in machining hardened tool steels.
- Able to maintain tight tolerances on injection mold components.
- Capable of programming and machining intricate 3D surfaces.
- Experience with live tooling is advantageous but not mandatory.
Key Responsibilities:
- Accountable for programming CNC Lathe for new projects and repair tasks.
- Responsible for the setup of CNC Lathe following programming.
- Remove completed components and prepare new components for machining.
- Ensure the quality and precision of machined parts.
- Complete job assignments within established timelines.
- Maintain a safe, secure, and healthy workplace by adhering to company safety protocols.
- Responsible for keeping a clean and safe work area and assisting with machine maintenance as required.
- Disassemble, clean, and assist in assembly when necessary.
- Additional duties may be assigned based on shop workload.
