Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Medical Assistant I to join our team at North Oaks Health System. As a Medical Assistant I, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and contributing to the success of our healthcare team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist with patient intake, discharge, and telephone messaging
  • Perform medication reconciliation and review patient medical history
  • Conduct in-office testing, including CLIA waived testing, and label specimens
  • Clean and disinfect patient treatment areas and reusable equipment
  • Assist with ordering, stocking, and maintaining supplies
  • Perform quality controls and participate in educational opportunities

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Completion of a Medical Assistant program or Nursing Program (LPN, RN)
  • 3 years experience as an MA in a clinic setting or enrollment in an accredited Nursing program with completion of first clinical rotation
  • Maintain BLS certification

Working Conditions:

Must be able to maintain a cheerful and positive attitude while performing duties in a high-volume practice. Must be able to work efficiently and effectively in a busy environment with a high level of patient contact.

Physical Demands:

Must be capable of assisting with the lifting and moving of patients. Must have knowledge of appropriate body mechanics. Must be capable of prolonged standing and walking.
