Job Summary

Dollar General Corporation is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Retail District Manager to lead the activities of all stores within a designated area of operation. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for driving sales growth, improving customer satisfaction, and ensuring operational excellence across multiple stores.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement strategies to drive sales growth and improve customer satisfaction across multiple stores.
  • Lead and manage store teams to achieve operational excellence, including full profit and loss responsibility.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and implement process improvements and best practices.
  • Conduct regular store visits to monitor performance, provide coaching and feedback, and identify areas for improvement.
  • Develop and manage budgets, forecasts, and performance metrics to drive business results.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with store teams, district managers, and other stakeholders to ensure effective communication and collaboration.
  • Identify and develop new business opportunities to drive growth and improve profitability.

Requirements

  • 4+ years of retail management experience with progressively more responsibility, managing multi-unit operations in retail, grocery, or convenience store operations with full P&L responsibility.
  • Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate and develop high-performing teams.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with store teams, district managers, and other stakeholders.
  • Ability to analyze data and make informed business decisions to drive sales growth and improve customer satisfaction.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to identify and implement process improvements and best practices.
