Position Overview
We are seeking a motivated and skilled Mortgage Loan Originator to enhance our Mortgage Loan Team at Glacier Bank. This role focuses on delivering exceptional service to clients while managing their mortgage financing needs.

Key Responsibilities:
1. Develop and implement effective origination strategies, utilizing both sales and analytical skills to assist clients in securing mortgage loans.
2. Stay updated on the latest trends in mortgage lending and the market dynamics that influence the industry.
3. Review and assess mortgage loan documentation to ensure compliance with Bank and regulatory standards.
4. Make informed decisions to approve or deny loan applications, requesting additional information when necessary.
5. Analyze the acceptability of loans in secondary mortgage markets.
6. Provide borrowers with clear explanations of loan terms and their financial obligations.
7. Engage with clients who may be experiencing payment difficulties, as applicable.
8. Safeguard the Bank against fraud and reputational risks.
9. Promote the Bank's mortgage lending services within the real estate sector.
10. Cross-sell additional Bank products and services as appropriate.
11. Perform other related duties as assigned.

Candidate Profile:
The ideal candidate will possess:
- Proven experience in mortgage lending.
- A college degree or equivalent experience.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to motivate and influence others effectively.
- Excellent communication skills, including proficiency in 10-key and keyboard operations.

Educational Background:
A Bachelor's Degree in a business-related field is preferred, along with reliable transportation for travel to various branch locations.

Technical Skills:
Familiarity with mortgage loan software and automated underwriting systems is essential. Knowledge of mortgage lending products and compliance regulations is required.

Work Environment:
This position primarily involves desk work and travel to meet clients.

Physical Requirements:
Employees must be able to perform essential functions, which may include sitting for extended periods, using hands for repetitive tasks, and occasionally lifting up to 20 lbs. Close visual acuity is necessary for data analysis and document preparation.
