Los Angeles, California, United States Brella Full time
About Brella

Brella is a pioneering organization dedicated to revolutionizing the way we nurture the next generation. Founded by two visionary mothers, Brella aims to create a flexible and innovative model of care that caters to the dynamic needs of modern families while ensuring the best possible developmental experience for children.

Our Locations

Brella has multiple locations across the region, each offering a unique and supportive environment for children to thrive. Our centers are designed to provide a safe and stimulating space for children to learn and grow.

Our Educators

Brella's educators are a diverse and talented group of professionals who bring a wealth of knowledge and experience to their roles. They are committed to nurturing a child's foundational traits, or 'Three C's': confidence, compassion, and curiosity. Our educators leverage a play-based curriculum inspired by Montessori, Reggio Emilia, and RIE to create a rich and engaging learning environment.

Teaching at Brella

Teaching at Brella is designed for individuals who are passionate about providing learning opportunities and are adaptable to a dynamic work environment. We welcome teachers and teacher aides with a variety of experiences, from those still in the process of completing Early Childhood Education credits to seasoned educators. Our educators provide a safe and loving environment for children aged 3 months to 6 years while modeling empathy, respect, and gentle guidance.

Educator Roles & Requirements

We offer a range of educator roles, including Teacher Aide, Resource/Floater Teacher, Teacher, and Lead Teacher. Each role requires a unique set of skills and experience, but all share a common goal of providing high-quality care and education to our children.

Teacher Aide Roles

Teacher Aide roles are an excellent opportunity for educators to gain experience while completing their 12 units of ECE coursework. Brella offers both Resource/Floater Teacher Aide and Classroom Teacher Aide positions.

Resource/Floater Teacher Roles

Resource/Floater Teacher roles are ideal for early-in-career educators with teacher assistant experience or seasoned teachers who enjoy exploring different age ranges across our program. These educators provide support to our classrooms during breaks, planning time, and covering for callouts.

Teacher Roles

Teacher roles offer the opportunity to focus on a specific age range while diving deeper into our play-based curriculum, planning, flow of day, documentation, and communicating effectively with the team, children, and parents. Our new Program Teacher role is perfect for a teacher desiring more exposure and experience across all areas of our program.

Lead Teacher Roles

Lead Teacher roles require strong communication skills, whether navigating a difficult conversation with a parent or giving effective feedback to a co-teacher. We look for lead teachers who have previous experience in modeling best practices in a licensed center and coaching others.

We Care for Our Caregivers

Brella offers a comprehensive benefits package to support the well-being of our educators. This includes:

  • Competitive pay:
    • Teacher Aide: $18 - $19
    • Resource/Floater Teacher: $19- $20
