Child Development Specialist

Crystal Stairs is seeking a dedicated and community-minded Child Development Specialist to provide high-quality services to our Family Child Care Home (FCCH) Programs. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of adult learning principles and be able to integrate comprehensive Head Start services with the FCCH.
The successful candidate will have a BA degree in Early Childhood Education, Social Work, or a related field, and possess a California Commission of Teachers Teacher Permit or be eligible to obtain. Strong computer skills and a minimum of two years of experience in a state-funded child care program are also required.
The Child Development Specialist will be responsible for ensuring all comprehensive Head Start services are integrated with the FCCH and approach the families' needs holistically. This includes ensuring full integration of health, nutrition, mental health, disabilities, parent involvement, and social services.
The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of regulatory agencies and their role in Head Start and Early Head Start. They will also be able to adapt to changing circumstances and have a minimum of two years of experience in a state-funded child care program.
