We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Child Development Coaching Specialist to join our team at Crystal Stairs, Inc. in Los Angeles, CA.

Job Summary

The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering Quality Rating Improvement System (QRIS) coaching and technical assistance services to improve the quality of participating Quality Start Los Angeles (QSLA) child care programs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide program coaching services, technical assistance, and training to child care providers in alignment with the QRIS Coaching model.
  • Conduct virtual, onsite, and in-person coaching sessions, training, and technical assistance in developmentally appropriate curriculum and practice.
  • Facilitate networking opportunities and act as a resource for participants on child development, quality child care, and professional development.
  • Develop Quality Improvement Plans (QIP) using SMART Goals for participating QSLA sites and ensure monthly coaching sessions support the QIP.
  • Maintain project compliance through a detailed knowledge of the QRIS Contract, Scope of Work, Quality Continuum Framework-Rating Matrix, and other documents.
  • Maintain ongoing effective communication with the Crystal Stairs QRIS Team to ensure effective program implementation and achievement of program goals.
  • Maintain records of work activities and track/monitor progress of participants.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree in ECE/Child Development or related field with 24 ECE units or Program Director Permit is required.
  • Minimum of three years of experience working in a child care setting, working with adult learners, and a diverse client population.
  • Minimum of two years of experience designing training and facilitation of trainings.
  • Experience with quality improvement programs with a strength-based approach.
  • Strong working knowledge of quality rating tools such as Program Administration Scale (PAS) and Business Administration Scale (BAS); child observation and/or screening tools such as ASQ-3, ASQ:SE, and DRDP.
