We are seeking a highly motivated and passionate Research Associate II to support our drug discovery projects. As a key member of our team, you will have the opportunity to work on cutting-edge protein sciences and structural biology projects, driving therapeutic discovery at the bench.
Key Responsibilities:- Develop and execute strategies to clone and express recombinant proteins in various cell culture systems
- Purify tagged or native proteins using standard purification techniques and analytical methods
- Produce high-quality protein crystal structures and co-crystal structures, from crystallization screening to structure refinement
- Support the crystallographic pipeline through protein design, expression, purification, and biophysical characterization
- Interpret experimental outcomes and propose follow-up studies
- Document work, manage, analyze, and effectively present results to multi-disciplinary project teams
- B.S. or M.S. in Molecular Biology, Biochemistry, Biophysics, or a related life science field with 0-2 years of research experience in an academic or industrial setting
- Experience with molecular cloning and vector construction, bacterial expression, and protein purification through conventional and affinity-based chromatographic approaches is desired
- Knowledge in protein crystallography, cryo-EM, or NMR is advantageous
