Account Manager

At Longship, we're seeking a highly motivated and goal-oriented Account Executive to join our team. As an Account Executive, you will be responsible for overseeing customer shipments from pickup to on-time delivery, ensuring an efficient process every time.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop strong professional relationships with customers to sell freight transportation brokerage services
- Provide full-cycle customer service from contract to delivery
- Negotiate rates with customers based on their shipping needs
- Contact carriers/trucking companies to find the most efficient shipping option and provide order tracking and delivery confirmation
- Manage multiple priorities and maintain the flow of business information with a sense of urgency
- Identify sales opportunities and close sales
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree preferred
- Entrepreneurial sales approach with no set territories
- Aptitude and appreciation for selling in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent verbal/written communication skills and follow-through abilities
- Strong work ethic with a team mentality
