Job Overview

As a Food Service Operations Specialist, you will play a crucial role in the preparation, portioning, and serving of meals to our valued customers. Under the direction of your supervisor, you will gain hands-on experience while building meaningful relationships with those we serve. We seek individuals who are organized, dedicated, responsible, and, most importantly, bring a positive demeanor to the workplace.

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee and assist in the daily preparation of food items and ensure proper dating of products.
  • Coordinate the setup and breakdown of designated stations as instructed by management.
  • Prepare and cook food according to established recipes and guidelines.
  • Ensure accurate portion control when preparing and serving food items.
  • Maintain daily logs of food temperatures.
  • Conduct quality checks by sampling food items before serving.
  • Notify management and remove any food items that do not meet quality standards.
  • Complete opening and closing checklists for workstations.
  • Welcome customers as they approach and depart from the serving area.
  • Inquire about customer satisfaction and address any concerns while maintaining a friendly attitude.
  • Assist in keeping the work area clean and organized, including floors, equipment, and utensils.
  • Ensure all work areas and serving tools are properly cleaned and sanitized.
  • Manage waste disposal from the service line accurately.
  • Transport supplies and equipment between storage and work areas as needed.
  • Participate in daily safety checks and report any hazards to management promptly.
  • Cross-train in various areas as required.
  • Be prepared to work in catering, concessions, and special events as directed by management.
  • Complete tasks assigned by supervisors or management team members.
  • Guide and support team members to ensure efficient and timely service.
Qualifications

Required:
- Food Service Certification as applicable
- Adequate education or training to read, write, and follow instructions
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure
