Assistant Program Manager

The Assistant Program Manager plays a vital role in supporting therapeutic programming at Hoyleton Youth and Family Services. This position reports directly to the program manager and is responsible for advocating for clients and staff. The Assistant Program Manager ensures that clients receive the highest quality care, consistent with the CARE/TCI practice model. This includes fostering an inclusive environment where all team members feel respected and valued, regardless of their sexual orientation, gender identity, or gender expression.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide shift planning, coaching, and decision-making support for staff on duty, aligned with CARE principles.
- Assist in interviews, select, supervise, and complete performance evaluations for Youth Care Workers assigned to the TLP.
- Complete documentation as required by the agency and provide oversight to staff in their completion of client documentation paperwork.
- Supervise assigned Youth Care Workers and role model a strong work ethic with a focus on providing quality care for children.
- Build trust and strong relationships with staff, peers, and stakeholders, ensuring ongoing communication among team members.
- Attend LifeSet group meetings, red flag calls, and weekly clinical consultations.
- Identify staff development needs and recommend ongoing training for staff.
- Review incidents and develop strategies to reduce episodes associated with individual youth and/or staff.
- Ensure required records and reports are completed, including client summaries, incident reports, and administrative summaries.
- Assist in the development of program budget and monitor expenses to minimize budget variances.
- Oversee compliance with documentation requirements and request training for staff as needed.
- This position requires on-call status whenever applicable.
Requirements:
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Excellent interpersonal skills.
- Excellent oral and written communication.
- Able to direct services in a manner that reflects an appreciation for the cultural background, heritage, and identity of clients.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Candidates with personal lived experience in the LGBTQ+ community are strongly preferred.
- Must be at least 21 years of age.
- High school diploma or GED required; bachelor's degree in the human service field with 2 years of experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience preferred.
- Must have a valid driver's license.
- Must have auto insurance.
