Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct thorough assessments to identify speech, language, and swallowing disorders.
  • Design and implement tailored treatment plans for clients with communication and swallowing difficulties.
  • Employ diverse therapeutic techniques to enhance clients' communication and swallowing capabilities.
  • Track clients' progress and modify treatment plans as necessary.
  • Educate and support clients, families, and caregivers on effective communication and swallowing strategies.
  • Maintain precise and current documentation regarding clients' progress and treatment strategies.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to provide optimal care for clients.
  • Engage in ongoing education and professional development to remain informed about the latest therapeutic techniques and research.

Education and Experience:

Mandatory:

  • Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
  • Valid state licensure in Speech-Language Pathology.
  • Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA).
  • Bilingual proficiency is required.

Preferred:

  • Experience with clients who have communication and swallowing disorders is advantageous.

Physical Demands:

  • Ability to lift up to 25 pounds and assist in positioning clients.
  • Capability to stand, sit, and walk for extended periods.
  • Clear hearing and communication skills for effective interaction with clients, families, and healthcare professionals.
  • Manual dexterity and visual acuity necessary for performing therapy techniques.
