Job Summary

PennState Health is seeking a highly skilled Ultrasound Technologist to join our team. As a Diagnostic Medical Sonographer, you will play a critical role in producing high-quality ultrasonic recordings of internal organs for use by physicians.

Key Responsibilities
  • Produce accurate and detailed ultrasonic recordings of internal organs for diagnostic purposes.
  • Operate and maintain ultrasound equipment to ensure optimal performance and safety.
  • Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to ensure accurate diagnoses and effective patient care.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest ultrasound technology and techniques to provide the highest level of patient care.
  • Participate in ongoing education and training to maintain certification and stay current with industry developments.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • AHA Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required upon orientation completion.
  • Registered by the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) or become registered within one (1) year of employment.
  • Registered Vascular Technologist (RVT) registry required within six (6) months of employment for sonographers with two (2) or more years' experience, and within one (1) year for sonographers with less than two (2) years' experience.
