Ultrasound Technologist

Penn State Health is seeking a skilled Ultrasound Technologist to join our team at Holy Spirit Medical Center. As an Ultrasound Technologist, you will be responsible for producing high-quality ultrasonic recordings of internal organs for use by physicians. This is a NIGHT SHIFT position, working Monday-Friday 11:00p - 7:30a.
Responsibilities- Operate ultrasound equipment to produce high-quality images of internal organs
- Prepare patients for ultrasound procedures, including explaining the procedure and positioning the patient
- Conduct ultrasound procedures, including vascular and abdominal scans
- Maintain accurate records of patient information and ultrasound results
- Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to ensure accurate diagnosis and treatment
- High School Diploma or equivalent required
- AHA Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
- Registered by the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) or become registered within one (1) year of employment
- Registered Vascular Technologist (RVT) registry required within six (6) months of employment for sonographers with two (2) or more years' experience, and within one (1) year for sonographers with less than two (2) years' experience
