Ultrasound Technologist

Penn State Health is seeking a skilled Ultrasound Technologist to join our team in Camp Hill, Pennsylvania.
Job Summary:As an Ultrasound Technologist, you will be responsible for producing high-quality ultrasonic recordings of internal organs for use by physicians. This role requires strong technical skills, attention to detail, and excellent communication skills.
Responsibilities:- Operate ultrasound equipment to produce high-quality images of internal organs
- Prepare patients for ultrasound procedures, including explaining the procedure and positioning them correctly
- Conduct ultrasound procedures in a safe and efficient manner
- Maintain accurate records of patient information and ultrasound results
- Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to ensure accurate diagnoses and effective treatment plans
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- AHA Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Registration by the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) or ability to become registered within one year of employment
- Registered Vascular Technologist (RVT) registry required within six months of employment for sonographers with two or more years' experience, and within one year for sonographers with less than two years' experience
