As a key member of our healthcare team, the Health Unit Coordinator will be responsible for providing exceptional patient care and administrative support to our nursing staff.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide administrative support to the nursing staff, including maintaining accurate and up-to-date patient records, processing orders, and performing various clerical tasks.
- Assist with the maintenance of a clean and safe environment, including restocking supplies and equipment as needed.
- Perform Nursing Assistant duties under the direction of the Registered Nurse, Licensed Vocational Nurse, or Management Associate.
- Utilize strong communication and interpersonal skills to interact with patients, families, and healthcare team members.
- Maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive patient information with discretion.
- Participate in ongoing education and training to stay current with hospital policies and procedures.
Requirements:
- Nursing Assistant certification required.
- Current CPR training program required.
- High School graduate or equivalent.
- Successful completion of an approved educational program for Nursing Assistants.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bilingual English/Spanish preferred.
- Previous experience in a hospital setting, preferably as a Nursing Assistant or Health Unit Coordinator.
