Assessment Coordinator

At Universal Health Services, we are seeking a highly skilled Assessment Coordinator to join our team. As a key member of our psychiatric hospital, you will be responsible for performing intake assessments, crisis intervention, and providing information about our services to patients.
The ideal candidate will have a Master's Degree in a human relations field or be a Registered Nurse. Preferably, you will have two or more years of experience in intake assessment activities within an acute psychiatric setting. A minimum of two years of experience in a psychiatric hospital setting, including customer contact and crisis intervention, is also required.
You will be licensed to practice in the State of Texas as a mental health professional (LPC, LPC-Intern, LMSW, or LCSW) or RN. A working knowledge of the DSM-V and the Mental Status Exam is essential. Additionally, you will need to have a working knowledge of the Addiction and Recovery field and be able to complete Handle With Care Training within 90 days of employment.

Responsibilities:
- Perform intake assessments and crisis intervention
- Provide information about our services to patients
- Assist with call center functions and other duties to support the needs of the Psych E.D.
- Refer patients who do not meet criteria for admission to community resources to ensure continuity of care
Qualifications:
- Master's Degree in a human relations field or Registered Nurse
