Nurse Leader for Medical Surgical Unit

The Inova Health System is seeking a skilled Nurse Leader to coordinate the delivery of nursing care for pre/postoperative and medical patients in a dynamic Medical Surgical Unit.
Job Description & Requirements- Specialty: Med Surg
- Discipline: RN
- Duration: Ongoing
- 36 hours per week
- Shift: 12 hours

Summary
The successful candidate will participate in patient and family teaching, provide leadership by working cooperatively with ancillary and other patient team personnel in maintaining standards of professional nursing practice in the clinical setting.
Qualifications
Minimum Education
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
Required Licenses/Certifications
ONCOLOGY
- Current state registration or eligibility to do so.
- Current BLS for health care providers.
- Chemotherapy Certification by 12 months of hire.
MEDICAL
- Current state registration or eligibility to do so.
- Current BLS for health care providers.
Required Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities
- Demonstrated proficiency in acute care nursing, knowledge and skills.
