Ship Integration and Combat Systems Installation Engineer

Lockheed Martin Rotary and Mission Systems is in search of a dedicated Ship Integration and Combat Systems Installation Engineer to become a vital part of our innovative and integrity-focused team. At Lockheed Martin, your expertise, training, and education will be highly valued.

This position entails supervising the installation of ACB12/16 Combat System enhancements during Aegis Modernization and PSA availabilities on US AEGIS DDG and CG Class vessels at repair facilities. Key responsibilities include:

  • Reviewing detailed design schematics
  • Conducting installation assessments
  • Troubleshooting technical challenges
  • Coordinating with various engineering teams
  • Providing technical solutions in alignment with specifications

The ideal candidate will possess a minimum of 2 years' experience in design, integration, and/or installation engineering, with familiarity in CG 47, DDG 51, and/or FMS Aegis or other USN surface ship combat system equipment. Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities are essential, along with exceptional verbal and written communication skills.

This role may require up to 50% travel annually and could involve working during non-standard hours, weekends, and holidays. US Citizenship and a final DoD Secret Security Clearance are prerequisites for this position.

Preferred qualifications include a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Industrial, or Mechanical Engineering, knowledge of shipbuilding standards, experience with AIT installation and testing of BMD 3.6 and 4.0 upgrades, and familiarity with ship support systems.
