Job Description: We are seeking an experienced Automation Engineering Manager to lead our team in delivering high-quality automation solutions to our customers. As a key member of our engineering department, you will be responsible for developing engineering proposals, specifying automation products, and managing project execution to ensure on-time delivery, budget adherence, and customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Develop engineering proposals for turnkey solutions using standard templates and corporate pricing guidelines.
  2. Specify automation products to fulfill customer specifications and budgets, demonstrating technical expertise.
  3. Manage project execution, including system concept and design, specification of bills of materials, programming of automation devices, and onsite commissioning.
  4. Ensure conformity to approved proposals, schedules, project profitability, and customer satisfaction.
  5. Deliver training on automation products to internal and external audiences, and conduct field service calls to troubleshoot, replace, or modify existing systems or components.
  6. Participate in joint sales calls or site visits with outside sales staff to drive future sales.


Requirements: To be successful in this role, you will need:
  1. 3+ years of professional experience in industrial automation technologies, including vision, robotics, and controls.
  2. A BS degree in an engineering specialty, with a preference for Electrical or Mechanical engineering.
  3. Familiarity with automation brands such as Epson, Universal Robots, MiR, Kawasaki, FANUC, Cognex, LMI, SICK, Emerson, Allen-Bradley, and Siemens.
  4. Understanding of basic electrical and mechanical design principles using software applications like AutoCAD and Fusion 360.
