About the Role

The Progressive Care Registered Nurse coordinates and delivers high-quality, patient-centered care in our 18-bed Cardiovascular Telemetry unit. In collaboration with medical providers, the RN provides pre-operative and post-operative nursing care, advocating for patients to support an unparalleled patient experience.

Responsibilities

  • Assess patient condition during admission and during each shift, identifying and reporting any changes in patient status.
  • Perform procedures or other functions as ordered by the medical provider.
  • Document the administration of care in the patient medical record in a timely and thorough manner.
  • Perform the administration of prescribed medications and monitors response.
  • Maintain a knowledge of medications, procedures, and equipment used in the care of cardiac and medical-surgical patients.

  • High acuity focus including Chest Pain, Cath Lab post procedure, vascular surgical patients, heart failure, and any patient on CV drip.

Requirements

  • Graduation from an accredited School of Nursing.
  • Current state of Missouri RN licensure required.
  • Excellent oral/written communication, interpersonal, organizational, and leadership skills required.
  • BLS certification required at hire and maintained.
  • ACLS required within 6 months.
  • Previous clinical experience preferred.
  • Basic computer skills.
