Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement a comprehensive underwriting strategy that aligns with Mapfre's business objectives.
  • Lead the management of Countrywide Personal Lines Underwriting Execution, promoting a culture of superior portfolio management and product underwriting.
  • Define and enforce operational philosophy, ensuring compliance and auditing of front-line underwriting and alignment with current markets.
  • Provide leadership over the day-to-day management of axillary lines of business and ad hoc rollout of new products, pricing, and processes.
  • Collaborate with Enterprise Risk Management, Actuarial, Claims, and Regulatory Compliance to address governance and compliance issues related to underwriting practices.
Requirements
  • Master's Degree or professional level of knowledge in a specialized field, or equivalent related experience.
  • At least 5 years in an executive leadership role, with experience mentoring leaders for success.
  • Proven ability to champion transformation in an organization and drive change management initiatives.
  • Extensive knowledge of management practices, risk management, and industry trends.
