Senior Electrical Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Electrical Engineer to join our Advanced Technology team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and verifying high-performance digital ASICs and FPGAs for signal processing and information assurance products.
Key Responsibilities- Capture requirements, design digital architectures, and implement ASIC/FPGA designs using RTL, timing closure, verification, and system integration.
- Recommend new tools and practices for continuous improvement in the group's ASIC/FPGA design flow.
- Contribute to engineering estimates for new program pursuits.
- Provide technical leadership for project design teams by breaking down work, planning activities, and reporting status.
- Bachelor's degree in a STEM field and a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience, or an advanced degree and 3 years of experience, or 9 years of experience in the absence of a degree.
- Must be a U.S. Citizen.
- Must have or be capable of obtaining a US Department of Defense (DoD) security clearance.
- RTL coding and simulation in VHDL or Verilog.
- Digital circuit architecture, design, resource tradeoffs, timing analysis, and timing closure.
- Testbench development for the verification of RTL blocks using VHDL or System Verilog.
- Proficiency using ASIC and/or FPGA simulation and synthesis tools.
- Familiarity with revision control concepts and tools.
- Ability to work with minimal supervision, team with engineers of a variety of skills and backgrounds, and matrix into projects with aggressive schedules and frequent milestones.
- Strong oral and written communication skills with the ability to document and present one's work and status.
- Familiarity with best practice chip-level verification techniques and languages.
- ASIC/FPGA lab validation with advanced lab equipment.
- Design for Test (DFT) and manufacturability issues.
- Experience with Unix, scripting, C/C++, and/or Perl.

The salary range for this role is $77,000 - $163,000. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function, and associated responsibilities, a candidate's work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
Hired applicants may be eligible for benefits, including but not limited to, medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short-term disability, long-term disability, 401(k) match, flexible spending accounts, flexible work schedules, employee assistance program, Employee Scholar Program, parental leave, paid time off, and holidays.
Hired applicants may be eligible for annual short-term and/or long-term incentive compensation programs depending on the level of the position and whether or not it is covered by a collective-bargaining agreement.
This role is a U.S.-based role. If the successful candidate resides in a U.S. territory, the appropriate pay structure and benefits will apply.
