Job Summary

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Patient Services Representative to join our team at Urology Associates. As the face of our practice, you will be responsible for providing exceptional patient care and ensuring a smooth and efficient experience for our patients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare patient charts and documents accurately and efficiently.
  • Greet patients and address their needs in a timely and professional manner.
  • Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations and maintain confidentiality of patient information.
  • Enter demographic and insurance information accurately and completely.
  • Collect co-pays and process payments in a timely manner.
  • Schedule patients for follow-up appointments and recall appointments.
  • Distribute patient education materials and test/lab order slips as needed.
  • Assist physicians with locating information and provide support as needed.
  • Break down charts and scan/index new information throughout the day.
  • Prepare charts for the next day and correct provider information as needed.
  • Settle credit card machine and balance at the end of the day.
  • Complete closing duties and prepare transport envelopes.
  • Train front desk staff and work cooperatively with colleagues to ensure daily completion of responsibilities.
Requirements
  • High school degree or GED required.
  • Computer skills required, with experience in scheduling and front office software preferred.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills, with ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Phreesia, Veradigm (Allscripts) PM and EMR system experience preferred, but willingness to train is essential.
Physical Requirements

This role requires the ability to sit for long periods of time, walk and stand, and perform tasks that involve lifting light objects less than 50 pounds. Manual dexterity is also required for tasks such as typing and writing.

Travel Requirements

This role requires daily/weekly travel between office locations for assignments and/or meetings, with occasional travel for meetings or conferences.
