Job Summary

As a Member Service Representative at the YMCA of Honolulu, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional customer service to our members. This includes assisting with membership sales and service, facility monitoring, and cleaning, as well as supporting the development and operations of various programs and services.

Responsibilities
  • Provide a wide scope of customer services, including membership and program sales and service, facility monitoring and cleaning, and assisting members in reaching their health and wellness goals.
  • Support the development and operations of multi-oriented programs and services, which may be specific to the branch location.
  • Foster strong membership connections by establishing excellent name recognition and identifying personalized service preferences with each member.

Requirements
  • Less than 1 year of documented customer service experience and/or health/fitness experience.
  • Must be at least 18 years of age.
  • Must be able to pass CPR, First Aid, AED certifications, Child Abuse Prevention training, and other mandatory training within completion time frame.

Preferred Qualifications
  • 1+ years of documented customer service experience and/or health/fitness experience.
  • Previous customer service experience required.
  • Knowledge of program fiscal management preferred.

Training and Certification
  • Within 90 days of hire: CPR/AED and First Aid certified, ActiveNet and MotionVibe Trained, and complete In-House Training Modules with Supervisor.
  • Complete YUSA Leader eLearning Trainings: The Y and You: New Employee Orientation, Introduction to the Y's Cause and Culture, and other required trainings.
