The Emergency Department at Corewell Health is a community-focused facility recognized as a certified Primary Stroke Center and Level IV Trauma Center. With 20 treatment areas, we cater to a wide range of medical and traumatic emergencies. Responsibilities

The Registered Nurse will deliver nursing care with responsibility and accountability, adhering to the standards set forth by the American Nurses Association (ANA) and the legal requirements of the State of Michigan. The role requires proficiency in the nursing process, which encompasses assessment, diagnosis, outcome identification, planning, implementation, and evaluation. The RN will uphold professional performance standards as outlined by the ANA, including ethical practice, culturally competent care, effective communication, collaboration, leadership, education, evidence-based practice, quality improvement, resource management, and environmental health. The goal is to achieve optimal patient outcomes.

Qualifications

Candidates must possess the following qualifications:

  • Associate's Degree in Nursing (required)
  • Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (to be obtained within 5 years)
  • Current Michigan Registered Nurse (RN) license (required)
  • AHA or ARC Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (to be obtained within 90 days)
  • Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification (required within 6 months)
  • Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification (required within 6 months)
  • Emergency Nurse Pediatric Course (ENPC) certification (to be obtained within 1 year)
  • Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC) certification (to be obtained within 1 year)
