Role Responsibilities

As a Registered Nurse in the Emergency Department, you will:
  • Provide nursing care in a responsible and accountable manner, adhering to the standards set forth by the American Nurses Association (ANA) and the State of Michigan.
  • Utilize critical thinking skills through the nursing process, which includes assessment, diagnosis, outcome identification, planning, implementation, and evaluation.
  • Maintain professional performance standards as outlined by the ANA, including ethical practice, culturally competent care, effective communication, collaboration, leadership, education, evidence-based practice, quality improvement, and resource management.
  • Aim for optimal patient outcomes through diligent care and support.

Qualifications

To be considered for this role, candidates must possess:
  • An Associate's Degree in Nursing.
  • A Bachelor's Degree in Nursing within five years of hire.
  • A valid Michigan Registered Nurse (RN) license.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within 90 days of hire.
  • Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification within six months of hire.
  • Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification within six months of hire.
  • Emergency Nurse Pediatric Course (ENPC) certification within one year of hire.
  • Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC) certification within one year of hire.

Work Schedule

This position is full-time, with night shifts and variable days, including every third weekend. We are committed to providing a safe and inclusive environment for all team members and patients, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations.
