We are in search of a Senior Product Management Leader to enhance our dynamic team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Direct and manage all facets of product oversight while steering the comprehensive product strategy for a suite of offerings and teams.
- Act as a product mentor, guiding and developing Product Managers and Product Owners on effective product methodologies and best practices that yield successful results for our stakeholders and end-users.
- Formulate, sustain, and convey the product roadmap, which articulates product objectives and vision for both immediate and future endeavors. Organize and prioritize the product backlog in response to evolving needs and requirements.
- Establish and nurture stakeholder relationships to facilitate communication between agile/project teams and business leaders.
- Create adaptable management strategies that uphold product management best practices while also accommodating the distinct opportunities and limitations of our initiatives.
- Assist in the delivery across the portfolio/program by eliminating obstacles, managing interdependencies, and supporting release and reprioritization activities.
- Serve as a product advocate and become the authority on any assigned product or service throughout the delivery lifecycle.
- Conduct visioning workshops with cross-functional partners and stakeholders to foster alignment on product strategy.
- Contribute to recruitment, interviewing, and hiring processes for product professionals.
- Collaborate closely with internal and external cross-functional partners to ensure high-quality delivery, monitoring, and evaluating product progress at each stage of the process.
- Analyze intricate problems and devise innovative solutions that enhance the technology and management of a program.
- Prepare the program for Program Increment Planning.
- Facilitate Agile ceremonies as required (Refinement sessions, sprint planning sessions, retrospectives).
Essential Qualifications:
- Over 10 years of experience in product management and comprehensive product delivery within the government or commercial healthcare sectors.
- Proven experience as a Product Management leader, overseeing multiple teams on large or intricate projects.
- Experience in managing or mentoring other Product Owners/Managers in a software development context.
- Demonstrated understanding of the product management discipline and best practices, with the ability to enhance the overall product management capability (people, processes, products).
- Ability to collaborate and communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical partners, clients, stakeholders, program leadership, and internal executives. Must possess the ability to influence others without formal authority.
- Familiarity with agile software delivery principles and lean process management.
- Proven effectiveness in engaging delivery teams, customers, and other stakeholders to support business objectives.
- Experience with Agile methodologies (particularly SAFe).
- Proficiency in using JIRA, Confluence, and SharePoint applications.
- A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Business, or a related scientific or technical field.
- Demonstrated leadership, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
- Organized and detail-oriented with strong time management abilities.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and time-sensitive environment.
- A self-motivated individual capable of working independently.
- Ability to identify and resolve complex challenges.
- Capability to oversee cross-site, cross-functional teams.
- Excellent command of written and spoken English.
- Candidate must reside in the United States.
- Ability to obtain a Federal Government Public Trust clearance is required.
Preferred Qualifications:
- SAFe PO/PM Certification.
- Certified Scrum Master (CSM), SAFe Scrum Master, and/or SAFe Advanced Scrum Master, or Leading SAFe certifications.
- Experience on multiple Scrum teams across various contexts (different team sizes, organizations, cultures, co-located vs. distributed, etc.).
- Experience with analytics, data pipelines, and/or DevSecOps processes and tools.
Work Environment:
eSimplicity promotes a remote work culture operating within the Eastern time zone to effectively collaborate with and respond to our government clients. Expected working hours are 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM Eastern unless otherwise directed by management. Occasional travel for training and project meetings is anticipated, estimated to be less than 5% per year.
