Job Title: Metrology Engineer

We are seeking a skilled Metrology Engineer to join our team at Oasis Alignment Services LLC. As a Metrology Engineer, you will be responsible for providing on-site service solutions to our customers, utilizing precision laser metrology instruments to gather alignment and dimensional data.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Review and confirm job scope with customer and Oasis sales
  • Gather alignment and/or dimensional data using precision laser metrology instruments
  • Observe and report machine and equipment conditions and problems
  • Make on-site recommendations
  • Perform corrective action/maintenance and/or supervise such
  • Generate Technical Service Reports including comprehensive 3D models as applicable
  • Conduct site visits aimed at gathering information for proposal generation
  • Work with Account Manager in order to generate proposals
  • Train personnel in the use of precision metrology instruments, report generation, inspection and alignment techniques, and all other machine alignment skills
Requirements:
  • Degree in Mechanical Engineering Technology or related field
  • Desire and motivation to progress to a field service team leadership role in 1-2 years
  • Strong math understanding (algebra, geometry, trigonometry)
  • Strong writing skills for generating service reports
  • Strong mechanical aptitude
  • Self-starter with strong work ethic
  • Proficient in MS Windows and all common MS Office applications and AutoCAD
  • Some experience with at least one of the following applications: Pro/Engineer, SolidWorks, CATIA, Inventor, BuildIT, Spatial Analyzer, CAM2 or Polyworks is a plus
