Job Summary

The Metrology Associate II plays a critical role in ensuring the accuracy and reliability of laboratory instrumentation and equipment. This position requires a strong understanding of electrical circuits, mechanical systems, and calibration procedures.

Key Responsibilities
  • Install and calibrate laboratory instruments and equipment to ensure accuracy and reliability.
  • Investigate and diagnose failures with installed instruments and equipment, and perform repairs and maintenance as needed.
  • Develop and maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for instrument calibration and maintenance.
  • Perform routine maintenance and calibration of laboratory equipment to ensure optimal performance.
  • Document all service activities and maintain accurate records of instrument calibration and maintenance.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and company policies.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry developments and advancements in laboratory instrumentation and equipment.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, such as electronics, mechanical engineering, or computer science.
  • 2+ years of experience in instrument services, calibration, and maintenance.
  • Strong understanding of electrical circuits, mechanical systems, and calibration procedures.
  • Excellent communication and documentation skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience working in a cGMP environment.
  • Demonstrated mechanical and troubleshooting aptitude.
  • Database management experience.
