Position Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated Quality Control Engineer based in Malaga, WA. This role is essential in ensuring that our projects meet the highest standards of quality and compliance.

Required Education:
Bachelor's degree in civil or structural engineering, architecture, or construction management.

Required Qualifications:
To be considered for this position, candidates must demonstrate the following skills and experience:
  • A minimum of 1-2 years of experience in large-scale commercial construction projects.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proficiency in computer software, including Microsoft Office Suite (especially Excel), Prolog, Primavera, and AutoCAD.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks effectively and maintain strong follow-up skills.
  • Capability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong knowledge of federal, state, and local reporting requirements and regulations.

Key Responsibilities:
The Quality Control Engineer will:
  • Collaborate directly with the owner's quality assurance team on all quality-related matters.
  • Possess a thorough understanding of specifications, standards, and code requirements across all disciplines.
  • Participate in submittal reviews, weekly quality control meetings, and preparatory meetings.
  • Conduct initial and follow-up inspections and manage the punch list process to ensure compliance with project specifications and applicable codes.
  • Perform material inspections to confirm that products meet specifications and that proper storage and handling methods are utilized.
  • Maintain comprehensive records of inspections, tests conducted, and significant findings.
  • Initiate deficiency reports and monitor their resolution to meet stakeholder satisfaction.
  • Work closely with trade partner quality control personnel to understand their procedures.
  • Review trade partner quality control logs and ensure corrective actions are taken when necessary.
  • Assist in coordinating and scheduling third-party testing and inspections.
  • Interface with third-party testing agencies as required.

Compensation:
Hourly rate of $41.83.

Bonus Structure:
Employees may be eligible for a performance-based bonus, contingent on individual performance metrics, attendance, tenure, and contributions to non-financial corporate objectives, at management's discretion.
