Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Radiology Technologist to join our team at Healthcare Staffing Plus. As a Radiology Technologist, you will be responsible for preparing examination rooms, administering radiopharmaceuticals, and positioning patients and equipment for diagnostic imaging procedures.
Responsibilities:
* Prepare examination rooms for patient examinations, ensuring a clean and safe environment
* Administer radiopharmaceuticals to obtain clear, usable images
* Position patients and equipment, explaining procedures and ensuring patient comfort
* Insert commands and data into the computer to document and specify scan sequences, and monitor video displays to adjust density or contrast
* Monitor patients during examinations, ensuring their safety and following procedures to prevent unnecessary exposure to radiation
* Produce diagnostic images, report important information to physicians, and update patient records
* Organize daily procedure schedules for emergencies and monitor radiographic supplies
* Perform administrative tasks, such as answering technical questions, scheduling appointments, and offering pre-procedure advice
Requirements:
* BLS and ACLS certification
* National Institutes of Health (NIH) certification
* Certified Principal Investigator (CPI) certification
* Sound knowledge of anatomy, physiology, pathology, and medical terminology
* Ability to stand for extended periods
* Strong technical skills
* Knowledge of medical terminology
* Passionate about patient care
* Minimum of two years of current Radiology Tech experience
* Graduate from a fully accredited Radiology Tech program
* Active unencumbered Radiology Tech Tennessee state license
* One year of Epic experience
