Skilled Support Technician

HireQuest Direct is a staffing agency offering job opportunities in various fields. We are seeking skilled Construction Laborers to assist construction and industrial companies around Columbia and surrounding areas.
The estimated salary for this position is $14 per hour, with daily pay options available. This is a temporary/day labor position that could last for the duration of the project. Other positions are available should a project end based on availability.
Key Responsibilities:
- General Labor:
- Perform construction clean up, including removing trash, debris, and excess materials.
- Load and unload construction materials and equipment.
- Assist skilled tradespeople with their tasks.
- Support Tradesman:
- Hold tools, materials, and equipment as needed.
- Support skilled tradespeople with their tasks.
- Digging and Excavation:
- Dig trenches and holes for foundations, utility lines, and other construction needs.
- Assist in backfilling and compacting earth.
- Safety Compliance:
- Follow all safety protocols and use personal protective equipment (PPE) properly.
- Report any safety hazards or incidents to supervisors.
Qualifications:
- Ability to perform various physical tasks that require strength, stamina, and manual dexterity.
- Capacity to work as part of a team to complete construction projects efficiently.
