Qualifications and Requirements

Essential Qualifications: High school diploma or GED; must be at least 21 years old, hold a valid First Aid & CPR certification, and possess a School Security Guard Certificate (SB1626). Successful completion of a pre-employment physical is required. Preferred: Experience, either paid or voluntary, working with children or students.

To qualify for the position of Campus Security Assistant (Substitute), candidates must fulfill the educational and experiential criteria specified above.

Employment is contingent upon successful fingerprint clearance from the Department of Justice. Fingerprinting will occur upon acceptance of the position, with a fee of $44.00 for this service. Payment must be made via money order, cashier's check, or cash; personal checks are not accepted. Current employees of the Pomona Unified School District have already undergone fingerprint clearance and do not need to be cleared again for a new position.
