Youth Development Coach Job Summary:

The YMCA of Columbia Willamette is seeking a dedicated and passionate Youth Development Coach to lead swim lessons and mentor youth in our aquatics programs. As a Youth Development Coach, you will be responsible for creating a positive and supportive learning environment, while also promoting physical activity and healthy lifestyles.

Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Plan and deliver engaging swim lessons, incorporating games and activities to promote skill development and retention
  • Build relationships with participants and their families, providing support and guidance as needed
  • Collaborate with other staff members to develop and implement program initiatives

Requirements:
  • Certification in CPR/AED & First Aid
  • Strong understanding of swim stroke techniques and ability to demonstrate proper form
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Estimated Salary Range: $30-$40 per hour, depending on experience and certification level. Benefits include free household gym membership, group fitness classes, and tuition reimbursement opportunities.
