Job Overview

The CMHC Administrative Support Specialist plays a crucial role in assisting the Associate Program Director with various administrative functions and residency event execution. This full-time position demands a blend of exceptional leadership and organizational capabilities. While preference is given to candidates located near the DMU Campus, remote work may be considered for strong applicants willing to travel and possessing relevant experience and education.

Key Responsibilities

1. Administrative Support

  • Facilitate the administrative operations of the CMHC Program.
  • Organize and maintain student records efficiently.
  • Assist in researching state licensure requirements and ensuring compliance.
  • Support the onboarding process and enhance student retention.
  • Ensure data integrity across various platforms.

2. Event Management

  • Oversee the planning and coordination of up to six residency events annually.
  • Manage contracts related to events.
  • Coordinate travel arrangements for faculty attending residencies.
  • Schedule and organize meetings pertinent to residency events.
  • Handle logistics for events, including materials, schedules, catering, and IT support.
  • Provide additional support for residency activities as needed.
  • Collaborate with the Associate Program Director on administrative tasks associated with residency.
Qualifications
  1. Demonstrated administrative expertise, including proficiency in software applications.
  2. Familiarity with tools such as Microsoft Office and G Suite.
  3. Experience using Zoom for virtual meetings.
  4. Strong document and file management skills.

3. Communication Skills - Proficient in both written and verbal communication.

4. Budget Management - Experience in developing and managing budgets.

5. Project Management - Proven ability to manage people, projects, and events effectively.

6. Organizational Skills - High capacity for managing extensive logistics and event planning.

7. Interpersonal Skills - Excellent problem-solving and communication abilities.

8. Independent Work - Capability to plan, organize, and execute work assignments autonomously.

9. Educational Background - A minimum of a bachelor's degree is required, with a preference for candidates holding a graduate degree.
