Job Summary

UIC Science is seeking a highly skilled Outreach and Engagement Manager to join our team. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for developing and implementing outreach and engagement strategies to promote our science programs and foster partnerships with local communities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement outreach and engagement plans to promote UIC Science programs and services
  • Build and maintain relationships with local communities, researchers, and other stakeholders
  • Design and deliver outreach and engagement materials, including presentations, flyers, and social media content
  • Collaborate with UIC Science project managers to integrate outreach and engagement activities into project plans
  • Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of outreach and engagement efforts
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, such as science, communications, or a related field
  • Experience working in outreach and engagement, preferably in an Arctic or Indigenous community context
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Valid driver's license and ability to drive a company vehicle
