Position Overview
The Project Development Engineer plays a crucial role in overseeing designated client projects from the moment a purchase order is received through the stages of process development, validation, and production. This position is accountable for the entire project lifecycle, which includes establishing timelines, managing project scope, meeting deadlines, fulfilling commitments, and conducting follow-ups. The role also involves identifying risks, leading problem-solving initiatives, formulating solutions, handling change requests, and ensuring effective communication between clients and various internal teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage projects with a focus on timely delivery and quality outcomes.
- Facilitate clear and consistent communication among stakeholders.
- Conduct thorough risk assessments and implement mitigation strategies.
- Lead cross-functional teams to achieve project goals.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering with relevant experience.
- A minimum of three years of practical engineering experience.
- At least three years of proven project management experience.
- Three years of validation experience.
- Comprehensive knowledge of resins and other materials.
- Familiarity with precision manufacturing processes.
- Experience in injection molding and tooling.
- Proficiency in 3D CAD software and understanding of injection mold tooling design.
- Ability to read and interpret part drawings.
- Knowledge of metrology and physical testing data interpretation.
- Experience in the medical device or pharmaceutical industry is highly desirable.
- Understanding of ISO13485 standards and requirements.
- Experience with Design of Experiments (DOE) analysis.
