Job Title: Banquet Set-up Pt

At Omaha Marriott Downtown at the Capitol District, we are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Banquet Set-up Pt to join our team. As a Banquet Set-up Pt, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth execution of banquets and events.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Set up banquet spaces according to Banquet Event Orders (BEOs) and hotel standards.
  • Maintain the cleanliness and organization of banquet facilities, including cleaning, vacuuming, and shampooing carpets.
  • Assist in serving guests as needed and provide exceptional customer service.
  • Read and understand set-up requirements and Event Orders (EOs).
  • Organize, control, and restock linen room and supplies.
  • Organize and control inventory and storage.
  • Attend all scheduled mandatory Banquet Department meetings, trainings, and hotel meetings.
  • Perform all other related duties and special projects as requested and/or assigned.
Requirements:
  • Prior hospitality and/or customer service experience preferred.
  • Ability to respond quickly and accurately to guest requests.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks quickly and efficiently.
  • Knowledge of appropriate table settings and proper set-up preferred.
  • Dependable and reliable to meet the demands of a 24-hour operation with flexibility to work a varied schedule to include days, evenings, weekends, holidays, and the ability to work under pressure.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Ability to effectively deal with guest and employee concerns in a friendly and positive manner.
  • Excellent interpersonal, listening, and communication skills to include the ability to read, write, speak, and understand the English Language.
  • Must be able to lift, push, pull, and/or carry up to 100 lbs.
  • Ability to stand and move throughout continuously to perform essential job functions.
  • Hearing and visual ability to observe and detect signs of emergency situations.
  • Must be able to represent the company in a professional, well-groomed, and courteous manner.
